Hunter Show Series 2017

Show dates:  June 17th, August 5th, September 2nd

It is very important to us that this show be FUN and EDUCATIONAL.  When ribbon are announced at the end of each division riders will have a chance to ask the judge questions and receive brief feedback about their performance.

Schooling over the show course will be available on Friday before the shows from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, $20/horse.

Trotting of courses will not be penalized in cross rail classes.  Simple lead changes will be allowed in all classes, but the judge may awards “bonus points” for well executed flying changes.

Classes may be split by age if entries warrant and ribbons and prizes given for each age group.  One high point will be given for each division and will be based on overall performance between age groups.

The show arena will be open for hacking Saturday from 7:00 to 8:30 AM.  Show classes will begin promptly at 9:00.  The indoor arena will have schooling jumps be available for warming up throughout the show.

Neat schooling attire is requested: Jodhpurs or breeches, belt, tucked in shirt with a collar, hair pulled back.  Helmets and boots are REQUIRED.

This is a Junior/Amateur show.  Professionals are welcome to bring horses and ride in classes, but they will not be eligible for awards.

We are going against hunter tradition and requiring pre-entry for this show.  This will allow us to post class lists and an estimated time schedule the day before the show.  We hope the convenience of knowing when you should expect to ride will greatly outweigh the hassle of pre-entering.  

We will make Facebook posts during the show day updating where we are in the schedule.  Hopefully this will make it easier for friends and family to come cheer the riders on.

We will have a fenced lawn area available as a play area for kids during the show. 

Please bring your own lawn chairs for watching the show.

We will have food and drinks available for purchase during the show. 

Trailer parking space is limited, so please “trailerpool” if possible.
